Hastings Food Science Class

Calling all young scientists and chefs on July 31st, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Hastings LWC Kitchen! Brenda has a fun afternoon of science in the kitchen planned! We will use our scientific minds to experiment with food. The class will include multiple hands-on food-related experiments plus fun snacks!

Can a chemical reaction inflate a balloon? Or explode a bag!? Kids will test their senses to determine if they can identify mystery foods. Even our snack will involve studying states of matter as we make homemade ice cream.
